Meet Michael, Sebastian, Ruben, Lucien and Ramon McKenzie.

Five hot brothers who are about to meet five equally hot partners.

Book 1 is Michael McKenzie’s story.

Michael is CEO of McKenzie Holdings and has a very bad habit of placing work before all else. His wife, Viv, had died in a car accident, with her current lover, on the way to meet with the divorce attorney’s six years ago. Michael was divorcing her because he’d discovered she’d had a stream of lovers during the course of their marriage. Since her death he’s had no wish to get involved with anyone, until Lily.

Lily, having lost her job at Oakfield Development gains employment at McKenzie Holdings thinking she’s going to work as the Assistant to Dale Roberts, but unbeknown to Lily she has been hired to work as Michael’s assistant. Lily is shocked, and disappointed to realize that the man she’s just been flirting with in the elevator is actually her boss.

Lily and Michael are instantly drawn to each other, but he’s her boss and Lily lives with her boyfriend of seven years. David, her boyfriend, has been acting strange for about five months which has caused Lily to re-evaluate her relationship with him and it comes up short, a lot. She had decided before meeting Michael that she wanted out of her relationship with David, but she has nowhere else to go, so she stays with him for now.

Michael and Lily finally start their relationship, which involves a lot of hot loving and scarves which Lily uses on Michael! Their relationship seems to be heading towards happily ever after, until Lily makes an announcement to Michael, which has him telling her to leave his home. She does, heartbroken, and runs to his brother Lucien.

So Feisty and I both got our hands on this book and instead of fighting over the review, we decided to have a little fun and give a dual interview style review. Hope you enjoy it!

So this is the first book in series about the  McKenzie brothers finding love. The series starts with Micheal, a divorced CEO who has given up on finding love after losing his cheating wife. Lily is his new assistant, who in a unhappy relationship and trying find her way out of it.

So Feisty how much did you hate David, Lily’s Boyfriend?

(I think he is a freak! by the way)

Hated him!  Such an ass!  He was arrogant and had no class.  The way he treated Lily in the meeting was ridiculous!  So I guess I didn’t hold back on my feelings for him…. haha!!

Feisty what was your favorite thing about this book?

(I would say the sex scenes were pretty hot!)

My favorite thing about this book was that it was a straight up love story.  No angst.  The problems were fixed quickly without dragging them out and torturing us!

Feisty what McKenzie brothers book are you most looking forward to?

(Lucien for me, he seems so broken.)

I have to agree with you Book Dame!  I really like Lucien and I think his book will be good.  I’m assuming we will see lots of Lily in his book since she’s the only one he really opens up to.  I have to say Sebastian will be a good one too – his story is next.

Book Dame, do you have a favorite part of the book – get your mind out of the gutter for a minute and don’t pick a sex scene!  HAHA!

(for me I have two parts, one was the club scene at Club Kenza.  Their scene in the corner is good!  The other is the McKenzie company picnic.  Lots of fun and Lily got to know Lucien there.  Their friendship is really sweet and one of the best parts of the book for me.  I wish it was a bit more developed.

I like their instant attraction to each other, the elevator and the drive to his parents ranch before the picnic. I also like her friendship with Lucien. He seemed to really need a friend! I can’t wait for his book! And yes some of the steamy scenes were favorable too!

Dame, were you surprised at how quickly Michael took to Lily?

(I was a tiny bit.  Their connection was instant and bit fast for me; however, they are good for each other.  He really makes her feel loved and cherished.  Something David never did.  And she teaches him to trust.)

No, I saw it coming! I mean I hated David and was ready for Lily to have something sweet and to be loved! Then after meeting  Micheal, I want him to have a beautiful love story, as well! I was also glad he wasn’t a playboy, just using women before Lily came along(that has be done).

Last question Dame, how did you like the ending?  Not giving anything away readers, but it was cute!

It was really cute, the ah moment that I was waiting for!
