Before I start my review for Naked I would like to say I was totally delighted to see that Raine Miller had named the absolutely delectable David Gandy as her inspiration for Ethan Blackstone. Being a huge fan of David along with my fellow heaux Feisty this made the reading of this series of books that bit more special.
Naughtys’ Rating: 5 Stars
ETHAN BLACKSTONE: Ethan Blackstone runs his own security firm and is a highly successful businessman. He is everything you would expect from your typical Alpha Male. He is possessive, dominant and used to getting his own way. Yet on the flip side he is extremely charming and caring and the consummate gentleman. He is also impossibly beautiful with impeccable style and presence.
BRYNNE BENNETT: Brynne Bennett is a university student and a part-time photographic model who has made a life for herself outside of her native America. She is strong, independent and extremely driven. At the same time she has an underlying vulnerability due to a traumatic incident in her past that she is determined will remain hidden.
I have to say I absolutely adored this book and it had me intrigued from the very beginning. Ethan Blackstone is a completely dominant man and when he sees Brynne Bennett that very first time in a photograph he is totally captivated with her and determined to make her his girl. When he sees her at the art gallery after buying a nude picture of her he makes his move. To tell you the truth Brynne doesn’t stand a chance, as Ethan Blackstone knows what he wants and totally railroads his way into her life and her heart. He is so possessive and lays claim to his ‘American girl’ even before their relationship becomes physical. He makes no bones about it and introduces himself as her boyfriend right from the get go. Brynne wants to take the relationship slow, but this is Ethan we are talking about and taking things slow is not a concept he is familiar with.
Brynne has a secret from her past that threatens to break them up before they get a chance to connect. She is falling fast for the gorgeous Ethan, and who can blame her?!SWOON!, but she has to overcome debilitating nightmares in order to let him in completely. Slowly but surely Ethan manages to break down the wall she has built up to protect herself. He really has to be the sweetest guy ever and totally looks out for her even if he is bordering on being a stalker. He can stalk me any day LOL! He is a complete gentleman and he woos her with flowers, takes her to Restaurants and has impromptu lunch dates at his office. Sigh!
Ethan might be a gentleman but I have to say I LOVE his potty mouth and his wit. I laughed so much at the constant innuendo between this gorgeous pair which made for a very sexy read!! The sex scenes are very steamy, and Ethan Blackstone has a physical prowess that will take your breath away at times.
So, we are left with a cliffhanger and this would normally kill me with the long wait for the sequel, but luckily I had ‘All In’ to hand and was able to delve right in. YAY!! I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Naked’ and hope you will like it as much as I did.
