Ok I’m going to be really honest about this book: I loved the story but there were some major issues for me. I have to say that overall I did really like this story but it lacked depth for me. It did not disappoint in the sex, drugs and Rock n Roll department. Drake is one hell of a sexy bad boy that any sweet and innocent girl could fall in love with. The characters were very real and believable but their actions not so much. There were too many young men in love with Chloe. I really didn’t feel it was necessary for her ex-boyfriend Jordan to declare his feelings for her in this book after what we went through in the first book with Logan. It was too predictable in parts. I was hoping that this second book we would finally get to see Drake and Chloe together as a couple, but again, most of their time was spent apart and with lots of constant predictable he said she said drama. There were times when I also felt like the story didn’t have enough exploration of the situation. Issues were resolved within a few sentences when in real life it would have taken much longer for two people to really work out their problems. The ending felt really rushed to me also. *******Spoiler Alert******** There is no way a couple would get back together this quickly after having spent six months apart. I would think a girl would make her man work a lot harder to win her back. The sex scenes were pretty hot and Drake was as delicious in this second book as he was in the first one. The epilogue did wrap the Chloe and Drake love affair up nicely. Overall this book is probably more for a YA audience than for Thirtysomething year old women. There is going to be third book coming out later this year which will focus on Logan and his HEA. Again this story was cute and predictable but I highly recommend a YA audience to read it.
“I’m in so deep with you, I don’t think I’ll ever surface. But I’m ok with that. If I’m going to drown, I want it to be with you.” He smiled. “Do you know how corny we sound? I think I just threw up a little.”
