Safe Word by Teresa Mummert
1. How did you get your start as an Author?
I’ve always loved to write but didn’t begin seriosuly writing until my husband was deployed to Iraq.
2. So I found Safe Word to have a very unique story line, sizzling hot that plays out like a movie with twists and turns. Is that how it played out in your head and where did that little seed of an idea come from?
Most of my book ideas come from dreams. I see them all play out like a movie in my mind and I try to show that to the readers.
3. At times I really wanted to not like Colt but I just couldn’t stop liking him, did you have someone in your head that he was?
I pictured Colt as Charlie Hunnam (Jax from Sons of Anarchy). He is a bad boy by most accounts, but he is always trying to do what he thinks is right for the people he loves.
4.Were you worried about putting out to many teasers? I was worried but you had plenty up your sleeve.
I love sharing teasers. It’s fun to see everyone react to what they think the story will be.
5. What is your biggest achievement as an Author?
I have made the New York Times for Suicide Note and White Trash Beautiful. That was surreal.
Here is the Speed Round, don’t think… Just answer:
Celebrity crush: Alexander Skargard
Weirdest phobia: Peeling sunburn. Freaks me out.
I’m totally addicted to: Redbull
Marriage is: Amazing
The best compliment I’ve been given was: being told I have inspired someone to write.
The most important lesson I’ve learned about love: It is hard work but worth it.
If I could pick four people to have dinner with, dead or alive, I’d choose: Amanda Bynes, Oprah, Charles Manson and Tom Cruise. How awkward would that be?
The quality I like most in a man: Confidence
The comfort food I crave most: Mozzarella sticks
The best gift I’ve ever been given was: Every holiday my kids make me gifts. They are incredibly creative and sweet.
5 book boyfriends: Kellan Kyle (Thoughtless by SC Stephens), Anthony Rawlings (Consequences by Aleatha Romig), Travis Maddox (Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire), Calab (Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts) and Gideon Cross (Crossfire series by Silvia Day).
My favorite drink is: Redbull.
How would you describe yourself in three words? Very, very weird.
And of course,
