J.A. Redmerski is one of those authors, I know will give me a roller-coaster of a story. My heart will skip a beat and my stomach will knot. I have to mental prepare myself. (As in buy tissues and make sure my kids have food to feed themselves with.)
Songs of the Fireflies was no different, an emotional tale. I was already scrambling by the first chapter. I had no idea what I had signed on for, what I got was an amazing read. Captivated by an eight year old Brayelle and nine year old Elias. The journey you take is riveting. You’ll be intoxicated by their bond and frazzled by the love that consumes them. Led by love and fear, impairing the world they see. Will love be enough, can love get you through everything? Can love make you whole, heal you? How far is too far?
I would of loved to get a little deeper into Brayelle’s head. I felt we only got the top layer of the story, which was enough for an amazing story. One I could hardly put down. I just felt a ting hole, a missing chapter on how Brayelle was in her dark moments?
I do want to say Elias was amazing, and so true to character. His love, was so deep. Almost to deep. Another great book from J.A. Redmerski!

I’ll admit it, this is one of those books I couldn’t wait for, but, yet when it came out I stalled. Half scared it wouldn’t go as I wanted, half terrified it wouldn’t be as good as the first. I tend to lose interest easy and if I read too many teasers. Or I build things up so much, that no matter what the book is never able to live up to my vision!
Well, I’m absolutely thrilled to say I freakin’ loved it! I’m mad, that I waited so long to read it! It was A M A Z I N G ! I could hardly put it down! I cried, I laughed, I ate up every freaking word.
Kitty used the word sensual, and that’s exactly how I felt this story was. I fell in love with them all over again. I was seduced in Knight & Play, fell in Knight & Stay!
Great unique and fresh story. Loved it, in case I didn’t mention that before. Lucien was an alpha male, with a broken heart and spirit. He was so tightly wound, and set in his ways. I was dragging my feet, terrified at how things would end. Lucien was stubborn to his core. Of course, that made him all that more attractive, and undeniable. I waving myself just thinking about him, and his ways. Just remember he does’t flirt! Of course, his non flirting is pretty damn good! A great book, wonderful series! Can’t wait for more!!
A Companion Novel to The Proposition and The Proposal
After her former boyfriend left her pregnant and alone, Megan McKenzie swore off men. She spent the last eighteen months focused solely on her son, Mason, along with finishing nursing school at the top of her class. Although she’s not ready to complicate her life with a long-term relationship, a nice no-strings attached hook-up is just what she needs. At her godson, Noah’s, baptism, she finds the perfect candidate in the soft-spoken godfather, Pesh Nadeen. After all, the widower could use a good time too. But after drinking too much, the night doesn’t end the way she thought it would. Forced to leave Pesh’s house through a walk of shame, Megan hopes to never, ever see him again.
For Pesh Nadeen, the very sight of Megan sends him into an emotional tailspin. Since she reminds him too much of what he has lost, he wants to be out of her sight…at first. But the more he gets to know her, there’s something about the diminutive blonde that causes his protective side to go into overdrive, and he finds himself wanting more. When Megan is assigned to work in his ER to complete her nursing clinicals, he sees it as fate, but she’s having no part of it. She only wants a physical relationship while he wants far more.
What happens next is a sexy game of cat and mouse to see who will break first or if both of them will eventually get more than they ever bargained for.
Feisty’s Review – 4 stars!
First, if you have not read The Proposition and The Proposal, it’s kind of a must, and it will help you understand The Pairing. I highly recommend that you do – if you haven’t and plan to read those books – spoilers ahead! Plus, Aidan Fitzgerald is not to be missed!!
Ok, so I did not like Pesh in The Proposal. I was so mad at him for trying to date Emma while Aidan was trying to get her back!! BUT, I love him now. He is the ultimate gentleman. He is the strong, silent type who doesn’t need to dominate or take over a scene. He only drops the “f” bomb when it’s necessary, not while asking if you get him another “effing” beer! You know where you stand and how much you can get away with before he gets angry, and I love that about him. He’s such a breath of fresh air!
Megan is Aidan’s niece and she’s a feisty one. She has no interest in a long term relationship and Pesh is not looking for a one night stand. He lost his wife a few years ago and longs for a family. His attraction to Megan is immediate as is hers to him. There is a big age difference between them and I felt that a bit. At times she doesn’t seem mature enough for him but I think that’s what he loves about her – her youthfulness. She is vibrant and full of life and she steals his heart from the get go. He is polished and well spoken and soooo kind. She doesn’t feel like she’s good enough for him and not sure she can make a relationship work with him. He is absolutely wonderful with her son Mason. But don’t make any mistakes, just because he’s a gentleman in public, don’t expect anything less than hotness in the bedroom! He’s willing to go at it anywhere – and I do mean anywhere! Planes, hotel rooms for a day, empty patient rooms, hospital closets…. Get my drift? 🙂
“I’d be anything and everything you wanted me to be, if you would give me the chance.” – Pesh
The Pairing is a lovely story about how these two people figure out how to make the passion between them develop into more than they had ever dreamed. This is not the typical Beauty and Beast tale we read so often in our romance books. This is a story where the really nice, lovely, gentleman gets the girl and how sweet it is! The Pairing is the perfect book for a true romance lover!
How to follow Katie!
Gather ‘round, love, because I want you. I want what you have, I want what you don’t have, I want more of what I already have. I want. But if you so much as ask for something in return, go ahead and walk away. Know if you want to play in my world, it’s every man for themselves and the weak become mine. Leeches will be obliterated because I make it my job to destroy them. I protect what’s mine and I take what’s yours…because that’s what I do. I want.
My story will not endear me to you and, frankly, I could care less if it does because I’m in this for the money and nothing else. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a corrupt, money hungry, immoral asshole from Los Angeles. I’m every man’s worst nightmare and every girl’s fantasy.
I’m Spencer Blackwell…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most coveted guy to the guy no one wanted around and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

Vain is one of my favorite books, I was super excited to read Greed. The way the author portrays her story’s is unique and refreshing. Each book I’ve gotten swept away in the world she’s has created. In Vain I wanted to book the first flight to Africa and find this place. I, too wanted to safe orphans. And in Greed I’m ready to escape off to Montana and work on the Hunt’s Ranch. One of the things I love so much about her books is the characters, so far they are all those people you think you want to be: rich, beautiful and popular, but she makes them so real with flaws. You see their good and most definitely their bad.
Greed left me wanting more, I didn’t want to leave them. I was captivated by their story, and wasn’t ready to let go of Spencer and Cricket. I yearned to read more about Bridge and Jonah. I laughed, and cried through the pages of this book. I got lost in the words, eager to see what was in the next chapter, the next page. Yet, at the ever same time scared to see what these characters would do, wondering if I dare see what choice they would make. I love books like this, books where you know something is coming, but just can’t see it. Books that don’t go where you want them to, but in the end up just where they should. Hats off to Ms. Amelie for write a beautiful series and keeping me on my toes. Haha, there was a time in this book where I did contemplate throwing my kindle, and wondering if I could forget that chapter and write my own end! Great book, thrilled and excited to see where the next book in the series takes us.
Tenley Page is looking for a new start: a new city, a new apartment, a new life. Her plan is to keep to herself and stay focused. But leaving her past behind and starting over isn’t as easy as she thought. And neither is maintaining her solitude. As Tenley settles into her new surroundings, she finds herself drawn to Inked Armor, the tattoo studio across the street. But it’s the gorgeous, dark-haired tattoo artist who captures her interest. There’s something about his severe beauty that captivates her—and not just in her waking hours.
Covered in the ink he inscribes on other people’s skin, Hayden Stryker has made a career out of being a tattooist. He’s got his own business and a tight circle of friends. As far as he’s concerned, that’s all he needs. At least until his aunt, who owns the antiques and used book store across from his tattoo studio, hires a new employee. At first his intrigue is based on physical appeal; hot chick equals something nice to look at. But as he begins to catch glimpses of the fiery personality under the fragile, feminine exterior, his fascination with Tenley grows. Annoyed by his inability to control his fixation, Hayden decides the best way to cure him of the new obsession is to get to know the girl under her skittish façade.
But like the ink he wears as armor, Tenley has the ability to get under his skin and stay there.

This is a prequel to Clipped Wings a full novel about Tenley and Hayden. Cupcakes and Ink gives us glimpse into Tenley and Hayden’s world. You get a taste of what’s to come. I’ve loved Helena Hunting’s story telling for what feels like forever. I would read her take on the phone book, if given the opportunity. I just enjoy the way she threads her stories together, so even thought you don’t get much, it’s still great and intriguing. Cupcake and Ink is an introduction to the characters, a hint of what’s to come and details into who they are. You learn they are both fighting demons, and trying to move forward. You start to understand the way the think, this story will have you longing for more. I love love this story. I could not wait for it to get picked up and published. AND I KNOW ALL OF YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO!
