A Companion Novel to The Proposition and The Proposal

After her former boyfriend left her pregnant and alone, Megan McKenzie swore off men. She spent the last eighteen months focused solely on her son, Mason, along with finishing nursing school at the top of her class. Although she’s not ready to complicate her life with a long-term relationship, a nice no-strings attached hook-up is just what she needs. At her godson, Noah’s, baptism, she finds the perfect candidate in the soft-spoken godfather, Pesh Nadeen. After all, the widower could use a good time too. But after drinking too much, the night doesn’t end the way she thought it would. Forced to leave Pesh’s house through a walk of shame, Megan hopes to never, ever see him again.

For Pesh Nadeen, the very sight of Megan sends him into an emotional tailspin. Since she reminds him too much of what he has lost, he wants to be out of her sight…at first. But the more he gets to know her, there’s something about the diminutive blonde that causes his protective side to go into overdrive, and he finds himself wanting more. When Megan is assigned to work in his ER to complete her nursing clinicals, he sees it as fate, but she’s having no part of it. She only wants a physical relationship while he wants far more.

What happens next is a sexy game of cat and mouse to see who will break first or if both of them will eventually get more than they ever bargained for.

Feisty’s Review – 4 stars!

First, if you have not read The Proposition and The Proposal, it’s kind of a must, and it will help you understand The Pairing.   I highly recommend that you do – if you haven’t and plan to read those books – spoilers ahead!  Plus, Aidan Fitzgerald is not to be missed!!

Ok, so I did not like Pesh in The Proposal.  I was so mad at him for trying to date Emma while Aidan was trying to get her back!!  BUT, I love him now.  He is the ultimate gentleman.  He is the strong, silent type who doesn’t need to dominate or take over a scene.  He only drops the “f” bomb when it’s necessary, not while asking if you get him another “effing” beer!   You know where you stand and how much you can get away with before he gets angry, and I love that about him.  He’s such a breath of fresh air!

Megan is Aidan’s niece and she’s a feisty one.  She has no interest in a long term relationship and Pesh is not looking for a one night stand.  He lost his wife a few years ago and longs for a family.  His attraction to Megan is immediate as is hers to him.  There is a big age difference between them and I felt that a bit.  At times she doesn’t seem mature enough for him but I think that’s what he loves about her – her youthfulness.  She is vibrant and full of life and she steals his heart from the get go.  He is polished and well spoken and soooo kind.  She doesn’t feel like she’s good enough for him and not sure she can make a relationship work with him.  He is absolutely wonderful with her son Mason.  But don’t make any mistakes, just because he’s a gentleman in public, don’t expect anything less than hotness in the bedroom!  He’s willing to go at it anywhere – and I do mean anywhere!  Planes, hotel rooms for a day, empty patient rooms, hospital closets….  Get my drift?  🙂

I’d be anything and everything you wanted me to be, if you would give me the chance.” – Pesh

The Pairing is a lovely story about how these two people figure out how to make the passion between them develop into more than they had ever dreamed.  This is not the typical Beauty and Beast tale we read so often in our romance books.  This is a story where the really nice, lovely, gentleman gets the girl and how sweet it is!  The Pairing is the perfect book for a true romance lover!
