We just can't get enough!

Hello! Welcome to  our book blog!!!!

We are a group of friends from all over the world….Literally!!! We met on a thread for people who absolutely love The Crossfire Trilogy. Soon our daily conversations on the thread spilled over to a Facebook chat, and then to a Facebook page. These talks about our favorite books quickly turned into talks about everything from:  Food, husbands, children and random rants about nothing!  Now here we are, 6 women who likely would never have met had it not been for our love of a good book…. Blogging! We hope you like our page!!! XOXO

The Book Heaux’s

Book Heaux

Book Heaux: I’m a 27 year old married, mother of a two year old little girl. I love to try new foods, listen to music, attend a great concert, watch Scandal and of course…. READ! When I’m not working, or doing my wifely/motherly duties eyes are almost ALWAYS glued to my iPhone or iPad reading a good book. When I’m reading, the words come to life in my head like a movie, which is why it is very easy for me to sit around for hours and read. I like books that make my heart sigh! I am a sucker for a second chance romance! There is nothing like a woman scorned who finally finds Mr. Right. The man who says all the right things and touches her in all the right places and just makes her feel like a WOMAN! A man who restores a woman’s faith in men! I also love the pure untainted romance of young adults! The girls don’t have to be virgins, but there’s nothing like experiencing true love for the very first time! When a book captures my attention, I feel every emotion just like main characters and I love that escape from everyday life.

 Book Dame

Book Dame: Do I have to put my age, haha, no I’m not embarrassed or ashamed I just never remember! I think 37, No that’s right I did the math. I’m married, have two kids a daughter who is a teenager and son who’s 10, 3 dogs, 3 cats and a ton of (stupid) fish! I love to be out in the sun, especially on our boat, spending time with my family, friends and of course I love to read!! So I’m a newbie to blogging! Yup a virgin on the scene, so this should be awkward and short right. I love to read it started like many of you with Judy Bloom and then my love got renewed with The Twilight Saga (I was totally a secret fanfiction reader you know before it was cool, its probably still not cool). I’ll read almost anything in the romance department, although I am not really into historical romances!  I hope you enjoy our blog, we sure enjoy each other and ranting about books!

Feisty: I’ve always been a big book reader.  Growing up my mother was always reading.  She passed the love of reading on to me, which I think I’m passing onto my son.  So far so good on that front!   I’m the mom of an awesome son who is a big sports player.  He literally plays anything he can.  He’s a longtime soccer player and we have added baseball, tennis and lacrosse recently.  My husband is also a big reader – but my books are way more fun!  Along with reading I love being outside any way I can.  We are an active family so if I’m not reading, I’m running doing something!  I fell out of reading for a while and like many others, got caught up in the Fifty Shades of Grey phenomenon.  After that, I haven’t stopped reading.  I’m such a sucker for a beautiful love story.  I think the troubled souls get to me the most.   Something about their tragic story and needing someone to love them and then the right one comes along and saves them from loneliness.   Their journey to happiness gets me every time!  Not sure why, it just does.  I love it when authors include music into their stories.  For me it makes the book.  It brings it to life and it feels real.  I really hope you enjoy our reviews and interviews!   We are having such a great time interacting with some awesome authors and reading/reviewing books!

Naughty Heaux

Naughty; I have been an avid reader all my life. The books that stick out in my mind the most are by Virginia Andrews, My favorite being Flowers in the Attic. Like Feisty I became obsessed with romance novels after fifty Shades of Grey took the world by storm. I devoured these books many times until the Crossfire series came and saved me! Since then I have not stopped reading the many books that have flooded the market. I love British and American authors alike and often interpret the British lingo for my fellow heaux since I am from that neck of the woods, well a hop, skip and a jump anyway. I am married with two teenage daughters who share my love of reading which I am delighted with as reading is a gift for life. For me there is nothing like delving into a beautifully written book that takes you away to another world for a moment in time.

Let’s see, who am I? Well, I’m a wild and crazy mother of two very beautiful human beings, aged 10 and 12, who absolutely loves  to read. As a young girl I was intrigued by Nancy Drew and Christopher Pike mysteries. As I got older my tastes changed and I fell in love with V.C. Andrews and Anne Rice. Like many of my fellow Heaux’s I went through a dry spell where there wasn’t much reading going on until I found the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series by Laurell K. Hamilton. This has to be one of my all time favorite series. After discovering Fifty Shades of Grey I naturally became very interested in BDSM and started to explorer both the lifestyle and of course all books in this genre. I love them! I think there is nothing better than a hot and steamy BDSM novel. For me the book has to have a strong alpha male character.  I have been known to be quite ferocious when it comes to reading and at my best I have managed to read two complete novels in one day. When I’m not busy with my head buried in my Kindle, I like to be outside enjoying the hot southern California sunshine. I love to go out dancing on a Friday night with my girlfriends while listening to a good live rock band. I also enjoy making jewelry, knitting and crocheting. I love margaritas and tacos and most importantly I love to laugh. There is no better feeling in the world! The friendships I have made with these five beautiful women has meant the world to me. There have been days where I couldn’t have made it through without their love and support. I hope everyone will enjoy our blog and I look forward to meeting many more people around the world.

Secret Sexy Heaux

Yes, we have one more Heaux sister, who’s very busy!! We love her dearly and think she very SEXY!!! You will hear from her every so often. She has a real job, 3 beautiful kids and a husband to boot!! She reads and the rest is secret!!  Dame

Hi! I am following your blog, Twitter, and I liked your Fbook page, would you mind following me back at the links below?

I am also emailing you to see if you’d like to review my first novel when it’s released in spring/summer 2013! It will be published through the Whitson Group and is a paranormal romance. Please let me know if you are interested based on the description below. Thank you!

Mother Earth, wounded by the human race and its disregard for her resources, will recruit human souls to serve Her and turn against humanity. A rising force festers; Gemini, a clan of paranormal beings will systematically possess and destroy towns, cities, and states. Amidst the chaos, a forbidden relationship between Onyx, a lead Gemini, and Violette, a human, begins. They will both find themselves in the middle of a revolutionary war that will either save, or destroy our world.

I think one of you fine ladies just added me as a friend on Goodreads. I had to look up what ‘heaux’ means, and it made me laugh.

Top, top name for a blog!
